Sunday Musicale with Harpist Cristina Montes Mateo

How does enjoying incredible music by award-winning harpist Cristina Montes Mateo for free sound? Well if this is how you’d like to spend the afternoon on March 25th mark your calendars. Cristina will be performing works by Spohr, Guridi, Grandjany, Saint-Saëns, Godefroid, Gombau and Falla during this one hour recital. Admission to this event is free courtesy of the Friends of the Newport Beach Library. There is no rsvp required for the Sunday Musicale; though make certain to arrive early as seating is first-come first-served and you do not want to miss out.

Artist- Cristina Montes Mateo

Cristina presently is the Solo Harpist at the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valencia in the Palau de Les Reina Sofia and has been named one of the leading harpists of the 21st century. Cristina has also been Principle Harpist with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

When she is not performing at venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall the Hollywood Bowl or the Newport Beach Public Library, she is teaching others how to play the harp. Cristina heads the Harp Department at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica in Valencia, Spain. If after her performance if you realize that it is time to master your harp skills then you might want to hurry and reserve a spot by April 8th to be taught by Cristina herself in Caudete, Spain.
